The walls themselves must be between 7 7/8 inches to 8 5/8 inches thick, making framing with 2x8 lumber ideal. It is crucial to note that this tub cannot be installed on a standard 4-inch wall built with 2x4s. Planning your bathroom layout around these specifications is essential.
Drainage & Filler Considerations
Since the tub is suspended above the floor, special consideration for drainage is required. You will need to install a shower drain on the floor directly beneath the tub's drain hole. Alternatively, you can create a sloped floor with a linear drain at the end. Please note that a tub filler is not included; you must purchase a separate floor-mounted or wall-mounted faucet to complete your installation.
